My roommate, Bing, has been building bicycles in our living room lately.

Dark Chocolate Souffles are great to get a few friends together and spend a quiet evening at home.

Now that I’m back in Waterloo, I’m lucky to have a variety of “International” cuisine on account of my roomates’ different cooking styles. This is a Malaysian dish Koda cooked. I forgot the name of it but it has vegetables, medicinal herbs and ribs in it. Yummy!

瑞士雞翼 – A Canto Restaurant classic. No…Swiss Chicken Wings are not actually related to Switzerland. I tried making them at home with the wings I got from the whole chickens the week before. Surprisingly, the look and taste of it was pretty accurate. I’m quite happy with the result.

It’s Spring! Toronto is finally (hopefully) out of the cold weather! The temperature has been rather nice these few weeks. So in preparation for Summer and moving back to Waterloo, I pretty much packed away all my sweaters. In warmer weather, I tend to wear something I can take off and put on more easily, like a zip-up.

One day I found 2 whole chickens at Longo’s for $11. Eleven Dollars! So I brought that home and cut it all up. Of course I used the carcass to make some chicken stock. So my fridge and freezer was full of chicken and I decided I wanted roast chicken. I didn’t have a whole chicken anymore so I just took all the legs and thighs, put them over a bed of potatoes, mushrooms and carrots, and then seasoned all around.

Ok I’ve finally finished processing all the photos I shot on Sunday of the Reshaping Fashion’ fashion show in Kitchener. More on that in a later post. Now to catch up on 365.
First thing I did when I got into Waterloo was make banana bread with Koda. Well, really, I only mashed the bananas.
