101/365 – Konnichiwa

Got the chance to try this Japanese restaurant on Baldwin St. called Konnichiwa, recommended by Yen’s brother. I really loved the simple and clean flavours. My favourite was the grilled Arabesque Greenling pictured above.

043/365 – Lunar New Year

I went with Karen to Chinatown for Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner. It was awesome going to a Chinese seafood restaurant for the typical festive dinner. We had chicken, roast duck, dou miu, lobster, and steamed fish. Yay!

009/365 – Fishy Poacher

Just on a whim, I wanted to try a cooking technique I never tried before. So after work today, I went and picked up a few items around Kensington market and made this dish: Poached Tilapia with Red Peppers and Capers. My kitchen is a bit understocked right now  so I didn’t have all the spices I wanted to use with this dish, but it was definitely a success!
